EGYPT:Al Habtoor studies new investment opportunities in Egypt
Emirati businessman, Khalaf Al Habtoor, is studying a number of new investment opportunities in Egypt, in consultation with a number of banks.
 
“I am currently in the Republic of Egypt, where I am conducting meetings with a number of the most important Egyptian banks to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment in order to create projects that provide job opportunities for Egyptian youth, out of love for Egypt and my belief in the attractiveness of investment in it,” the businessman and founder and CEO of Al Habtoor Group tweeted via his twitter account.
established in 1970 as a small engineering firm, the Al Habtoor Group has expanded its business into the hospitality, automotive, real estate, education and publishing sectors.
 
The Group manages investments in London, Vienna, Budapest and Beirut, as well as Springfield.
 
The group's hospitality division includes 14 hotels, seven of which are in the UAE, and seven are abroad.
 
Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor ranked 10th in the Forbes Middle East 2021 list of the 50 most powerful leaders in tourism and travel in the region.
 
Al Habtoor Hotels has a partnership with both Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International.
 
It has more than 2,844 rooms in the Middle East across the Habtoor Grand Resort, Metropolitan Hotel Dubai, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, Habtoor Palace Dubai, Hotel 7 Dubai (Curio Collection by Hilton), Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City, and Al Habtoor Polo Resort.
 
It is noteworthy that the same list chose businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO of Talaat Moustafa Holding Group, in the 27th place, as the group owns more than 1,000 hotel rooms across 4 hotels.
 
Al Habtoor Motors' portfolio includes the following brands: Mitsubishi and two Chinese brands, JAC and Chery, and TEMSA buses, as well as luxury car brands such as Bentley, McLaren and Bugatti.
 
The company owns nine showrooms, nine service centers, four specialized auto body repair centers, and ten spare parts centers, covering various parts of the United Arab Emirates.
