Trade Register: More than 1.9 million economic operators registered

Algeria included over 1.93 million economic operators on the trade register until end of June 2017, an increase of 41,805 operators compared to the end of 2016 (+2,21%), the National Centre for Trade Register (CNRC) told APS.

They consist of 1,752 million operators activating under the status of natural persons (91%) and 180,045 as legal persons (companies), ie 9%.

By province, Algiers ranks first in the establishment of economic operators with 246,883 registered (almost 13% of the total), followed by Oran with 94,367 (nearly 5%), Sétif with 82,678 (4.2%) , Tizi-Ouzou with 80.770 (4.1%) and Constantine with 67.646 (3.5%).

By nature of activity, natural persons primarily engage in retail distribution (44.06% ), followed by services (38.6%), production (13.44%), wholesale distribution (3.62%), artisanal production (0.26%) and exports (0.02%)

As for companies, they are active much more in services (32.6% of all companies), production of goods (29.5%), importation for resale in the same state ( 19.52%), wholesale distribution (9.92%), retail distribution (7.02%), artisanal production (0.8%) and exports (0.7%).
