Industrial Development and Free Trade Strengthen Africa’s Competitiveness

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reaffirmed Monday the strong commitment of the United Nations to support the industrialization of Africa and the implementation of a free trade agreement on the continent, says the UN on its website.
As one of the key drivers of economic growth and job creation, industrialization will play a crucial role in the activities for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 2063 Agenda for Sustainable Development of African Union, Guterres said in a message issued on the occasion of the Africa Industrialization Day 2017.
