Egypt's PM reviews plans to increase hotel capacity in New Alamein City

CAIRO - 19 July 2022: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has given directives to officials to maximize benefit from the coastal lands in the western region of New Alamein City and increase its hotel capacity.


Madbouli's remarks were made during a meeting held on Tuesday with Housing Minister Assem El Gazzar and Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Sayyed Ahmed, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, officials in one of consultation companies as well as construction experts to review plans to utilize lands in New Alamein City.

The premier said the meeting aims at reviewing plans floated by a number of bodies concerned to start implementing a number of projects to increase hotel capacity in the Mediterranean City, underlining the importance of good management to such projects in cooperation with specialized international companies.

He also called for capitalizing on the available potentials in the city to create new jobs for youths as well as offering integrated services to its visitors.

Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Nader Saad said the meeting also covered plans for establishing a number of development and service projects to turn the North Coast city into a tourist destination all days of the year.
