Egypt : EGX loses EGP 8bn at close of Sunday trading

CAIRO, March 27 (MENA) - Egyptian Exchange indexes posted collective losses at the close of Sunday's trading prompted by selling operations by investment funds and institutions,

The market capital lost about EGP 8 billion, closing at EGP 742 billion after transactions that totaled EGP 3.2 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index decreased by 1.4 percent to stand at 11,545.61 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) nosedived by 1.24 percent, closing at 1,970.74 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also down 1.41 percent, ending at 2,979.5 points.
