Egypt :  EGX ends Monday in green, market cap. gains LE 6.22B
CAIRO –  18 July 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 6.22 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 1.08 percent, or 95.01 points, to end at 8,867.94 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 1.49 percent, or 23.49 points, to end at 1,604.39 points.  
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 1.71 percent, or 29.08 points, to close at 1,725.69 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 1.71 percent, or 42.44 points, at 2,527.09 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 6.22 billion, recording LE 602.97 billion, compared to LE 596.75 billion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 388.15 million shares, traded through 33,208 transactions, with a turnover of LE 930.21 million.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 300.86 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 81.5 million, and LE 219.36 million, respectively.
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 49.85 million, and LE 1.15 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were buyers at LE 13.38 million.
 
Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 31.65 million, and LE 218.2 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 287.47 million.
 
AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt, Obour Land for Food Industries, and Credit Agricole Egypt were top gainers of the session at 18.93 percent, 14.76 percent and 13.41 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, El Orouba Securities Brokerage, Golden Coast Company, and Paint & Chemicals Industries (Pachin) were top losers of the session by 4.98 percent, 3.64 percent, and 1.80 percent, respectively.
