Efypt :  EGX adds LE1.5B to market cap. amid mixed performance
CAIRO –  24 July 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session on a mixed note, adding around LE 1.5 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian and Arab purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 decreased 0.15 percent, or 13.53 points, to end at 9,276.28 points.
 
On the other hand, the equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 0.83 percent, or 14.03 points, to end at 1,698.29 points.  
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.94 percent, or 16.86 points, to close at 1,815.13 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 0.85 percent, or 22.33 points, at 2,664.44 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 1.5 billion, recording LE 624.18 billion, compared to LE 622.67 billion in Thursday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 397.18 million shares, traded through 32,567 transactions, with a turnover of LE 565.52 million.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 23.66 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 21.05 million, and LE 2.61 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian, Arab, and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 17.12 million, LE 5.12 million, and LE 181,424, respectively.
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 38.17 million, and LE 7.73 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 23.48 million.
 
ODIN Investments, Ismailia Misr Pourtly, and General Silos & Storage were top gainers of the session at 16.41 percent, 10.19 percent and 8.38 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Grand Investment Capital, Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment, and Lecico Egypt were top losers of the session by 11.92 percent, 4.42 percent, and 3.91 percent, respectively.
