Dattes: Agreement concluded between Algerian-Qatari companies

An agreement was concluded between an Algerian company of packing and labeling agricultural products “Afri Dattes” and a Qatari company of dates “Al Wadjba Dates Factory”.

The Algerian economic operators, participating in the Qatar Food & Hospitality Show 2019, held, on Wednesday in Doha, B-to-B meetings with their Qatari counterparts, in the presence of Trade Minister Saïd Djellab.

On the sidelines of these meetings, an agreement was concluded between an Algerian company of packing and labeling agricultural products “Afri Dattes” and a Qatari company of dates “Al Wadjba Dates Factory”.

“We seize this opportunity to develop the Algerian product, access other markets, and achieve the set goals, namely the valuation of the Algerian product and its export, in addition to taking advantage of the Qatari experience, “said the Director General of the company” Afri Dattes “, Mohamed El Mouaz.

The Director General (DG) of Al Wadjba Dates Factory, Hamed Rached, emphasized the importance of this partnership, which is able to diversify the products offered by the company, thanks to the integration of the Deglet Nour variety among all the products marketed.

In this context, the manager put forward the high quality of the Algerian product, characterized by its unique honeyed taste and rich in nutritional intake.

A video on the natural and economic assets was projected on this occasion, highlighting the investment opportunities offered in Algeria.

As a reminder, the “Hospitality & Food” Doha will wrap up  today Thursday.
