Algeria : The US Company KBR, involved in BRC scandal, gains a new contract in Algeria

After the Brown and Root Condor (BRC) scandal, dissolved in 2007 following a surcharge on the IGF, the subsidiary of the American Halliburton, KBR, has marked a comeback in hydrocarbon projects in Algeria.


KBR will provide, within this 48-month contract, detailed engineering design services, procurement services and construction management for the gas projects at In Salah and In Amenas.KBR announced, on Monday, that it has been awarded an engineering and project management contract for the JVGAS project (In Salah province), a joint venture between Sonatrach, the British company BP and the Norwegian company Statoil, the PR site Newswire reported.

“This project will demonstrate KBR’s ability to use its global resources to provide all engineering project services on one of the country’s largest projects,” said Jay Ibrahim, President of the subsidiary.
