The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received yesterday in Algiers the Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez, who is on a one-day official visit to Algeria at the head of an important delegation. The audience took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic in the presence of the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Noureddine Baghdad Daidj, and the Minister of the Interior, Kamal Beldjoud.
Spain expresses willingness to develop cooperation with Algeria
The Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez expressed, yesterday in Algiers, his country's willingness to develop cooperation with Algeria in all areas.
In a statement to the press at the end of the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez expressed his country's willingness to "develop" its bilateral relations with Algeria, saying that he had conveyed to President Tebboune a message from the Spanish Head of Government, Pedro Sanchez, in which he expressed "Spain's willingness to develop its cooperation with Algeria in all areas".
After reaffirming to President Tebboune "the solidity of relations between Algeria and Spain as two friendly countries", the Spanish minister stressed that the meeting had focused on "areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly security, including the fight against organized crime and road and urban safety".
The meeting was an opportunity to examine ways and means of cooperation in the economic fields, trade exchange, and visits "at the highest levels". As a reminder, the Spanish Minister paid a one-day official visit to Algeria, heading a large delegation.
