Algeria-Mauritania: ways to promote economic and trade exchanges discussed in Algiers

Trade Minister Saïd Djellab received, on Tuesday in Algiers, the Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritania to Algeria, Boulah Ould Mogueye, with whom he examined ways to promote and develop economic exchanges between the two countries, the ministry said in a statement.

During the hearing, the Minister reported on the “great success” of the Algerian products fair, sheltered last week by the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott, a success translated, according to the official, by the number of commercial agreements signed between Algerian companies and their Mauritanian counterparts.

In this regard, Mr. Djellab said that the fair was crowned by the signing of 15 conventions between commercial operators of the two countries.

On the occasion of this meeting, the first person in charge of the trade sector underlined the imperative to continue the coordination between all the bodies in order to implement the ways and means able to promote the commercial partnership between the two countries.

For his part, the Mauritanian Ambassador congratulated Algeria for the success of its economic fair in Nouakchott, expressing the satisfaction of the Mauritanian consumer vis-à-vis the quality and diversification of Algerian products.

The Mauritanian diplomat also welcomed the fruitful cooperation between the two countries, particularly in terms of trade, inviting the Mauritanian operators to take advantage of the proven Algerian experience in several areas, as well as to strengthen the visits between the economic delegations of the two countries.
