Algeria : Economy, Compulsory electronic payment terminals in all stores from 2018

Pending the promulgation of the law on e-commerce, the Algerian government intends to oblige each provider, economic actor, offering a product or a service to consumers, to make available to its customers electronic payment systems electronic) TPE, in their stores. And this, from 2018, affirms the daily newspaper Ennaharonline Arabic. To this end, Algerian traders will be obliged to install electronic payment systems within their stores, within a maximum period of one year (from the date of publication of the law in the Official Gazette). This method of payment will aim to encourage the Algerian citizen to electronic transactions on the one hand, and weaken the parallel circuits of money, on the other, says the media.
