Algeria Days: Algerian local agricultural products in spotlight in Bordeaux

Algerian farm products are in the spotlight in Bordeaux on the occasion of “Algeria Days” organized in this French city from 10 to 13 October, said, Wednesday, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing in a communiqué.

Organized at the Bordeaux-Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event comes within the framework of a partnership between the Algerian consulate in Bordeaux, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the Bordeaux city hall and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bordeaux-Aquitaine.

On the occasion of this event, the Group of Algerian State Enterprises for the Valorisation of Agricultural Products (GVAPRO) will present several Algerian agricultural products.

As part of the promotion of the quality and diversity of national agricultural products, local products will be presented during the event such as; olive products, dates, dried figs and other fruits and vegetables, specified the same source.

In addition, an exhibition and sale of national products will punctuate the “Algerian Days” with the objective of “highlighting the Algerian economic potential and promoting investment, particularly in the agriculture and agri-food sectors,”  the ministry pointed out.

On the sidelines of this event, the “GVAPRO” will take part in an economic meeting under the theme “Algeria-France: Opportunities for investments and partnerships,” the statement added.

As a reminder, the Group “GVAPRO” has six (6) state-owned economic enterprises and 74 agricultural farms across the country.
